What Indian Brides Really Have to know before Wedding! #Preweddingtips

Welcome Brides to be !

Be it love marriage or an arranged one,  Marriage is a journey of Love, Emotions, Acceptance and Challenges... Not trying to scare you or anything.. But stating the "MUST KNOW" facts of Indian Wedding / Marriage.

Apart from all the excitement , marriage gets both the bride and the groom anxious about both having to get along with each other apart from dwelling with the big indian in laws!

Quite often the reality check sets in after the honeymoon period and both get back to daily life and routine. The BIG 6 is something the couple should give importance to:
1. RELIGION'
2. LIFESTYLE
3. SEX
4. CHILDREN
5. BEHAVIOUR
6. RECREATION

Agreement on religion and lifestyle help deal with the changes that a new family and home will bring. Sex and children are crucial subjects for family planning and keeping intimacy alive. A couple should discuss how long it would like to wait before having a child, birth control options and the plan for the lifestyle change. It is also important to discuss how one behaves with the other in private, in front of family and in public.

Other key aspects that couple need to discuss are their views on Family, career, SELF, Friends, Health and Finances. It is important for both to understand what these aspects mean to each other. Both need not necessarily be the same, but accepting and understanding the other person's view earns respect for each other that leads to peaceful co-existence.

However well educated both families are and however modern metropolitan the family members may be, THE INDIAN SOCIETY expects CERTAIN things from the Daughter in Law of the House. It is important that the groom shares the daily routine and traditions / values of  his household to the bride to be before wedding so that there are no surprises after marriage that can cause resistance. This also goes to the bride.

A wisdom from an old friend of mine "When a couple pass their first anniversary without separation they are locked in for life"

This day and age where the both the husband and the wife work it is important to share views on domestic chores as well. Lets face it ! most of the petty arguments arises from the exhaustion caused to the wife who handles both work and home. The more the work is shared the happier the wife, and happy wife = happy husband = happy family! I bet all the brides reading this are smiling away to glory. And trust me , cooking together, cleaning together builds a great amount of respect and gratitude for each other that ends up doubling love and affection.

The first year of married life is all set for Excitement to getting to know each other to living and sharing everything with each other. Its not really like the Dating phase ... Marriage hopes to creating a beautiful family for each other filled with love and cheer. Yes there can be differences, but it is important that the most important factor in marriage is the "relationship" itself which is both the man and the woman who married each other with hope of leading a beautiful life happily ever after.

Well Life is always not as rosy as a fairy tale, but it can be made as rosy as possible ONLY IF YOU BOTH UNDERSTAND that despite all the factors or people surrounding you be it your father, his father, your mother, her mother, your sibling, his sibling, your friends, her friends, your savings, her savings, your interests, his interests -- YOUR RELATIONSHIP is the most important and you have to do what is to be done to safeguard it from everything and everyone trying to shake it.

So handle every single disagreement with an intention to solve it -  to protect your relationship and learn to look at an issue from the other persons shoes.  After all , only the both of you will share your life with each other till the very end, not your parents , not your kids, not your friends, not your colleagues.

So, Happy Loving and Happy Wedding to the both of you.
